Please
feel free to e-mail me to
register or ask questions. Pricing Information
- please read the options carefully. There
are two options for registration: Level
2 and intermediate classes - Due
to the increased costs of progressing in belly dance (purchasing costumes,
veils, and attending choreography workshops, etc.), these classes have
alternate pricing structures, but still require registration.
Pleae
e-mail
for details or more
info. Class Policies and Recommendations Payment
for beginners classes is due as part of registration prior to the start
of the session. We do not offer single classes at the beginner's level
because, ideally, classes should be taken in order and for a full session
since they build on each other and you will miss parts of the choreography
if you miss class. There will be no make-up classes offered and no refunds
for missed classes. If you miss a class and still want to learn the
full choreography, you can take the optional classes at the end of the
session to get a breakdown of what you missed. These classes are $12
each (unless you get the 8 week package, which includes those classes).
Class
and workshop fees are non-refundable unless there is a cancellation.
Class
and workshop fees are not transferrable - they must be used during the
session that you purchased them for.
No make-up
classes will be offered. There are no refunds for missed classes, unless
it is due to the instructor canceling a class.
In order
to be eligible to perform the choreography, students must attend classes
regularly and be present for the last two weeks of class (the 2 extra
classes at the end of the session that focus on performing). They must
also be able to meet outside of class to practice prior to the performance,
and must attend a dress rehearsal with an instructor present - this
will be scheduled based on times that work for the most people and is
considered a regular class at the $12 rate.
Payment
for all other classes and workshops is due prior to the start of class.
You should
always check with your health care provider prior to starting an exercise
program.
Please
wear clothes that are comfortable and will work for dancing
and stretching, such as yoga pants and tank tops. You are not required to wear anything that shows your midriff, but it does make it easier for us to adjust your alignment and posture if we can see your torso. A hip scarf or coin belt can accentuate movements, which may help you to learn them. Please
do not bring significant others or friends to watch the class. Having
an audience may be intimidating to your fellow students.
Classes will start on time, so please arrive early if you need to get changed, use the restroom, etc.
