Class Policies and Recommendations

  • Payment for beginner's classes is due as part of registration prior to the start of the session. Ideally classes should be taken in order and for a full session because they build on each other, but I offer a couple of options in case you know in advance that you will have to miss some classes:

    Option 1 -
$40 class pass allows you to take 4 classes any time during the 8 week session at one location only. If you want to take more than 4 classes you can then pay $12 per class or pay $40 for the 4 classes in the second half of the session. If you want to make up a missed class by taking one at another location you would have to pay $12 for that class.

Option 2 - $70 for the 8 week session. With this option you pay $70 for 8 classes. You can make up missed classes at the other location at any time during the session with no extra cost (please be aware that you may end up repeating material depending on when you make the class up).

  • Class and workshop fees are non-refundable unless there is a cancellation.

  • No specific make up classes will be offered so if you are taking a "make up" class at another location you may end up repeating material depending on when you make the class up.

  • In order to be eligible to take the choreography workshop beginner students must attend 6 out of 8 classes during the session.

  • In order to be eligible to perform, beginner students must attend 7 out of 8 classes, attend the choreography workshop, and be able to meet outside of class to practice prior to the performance.

  • Payment for all other classes and workshops is due prior to the start of class.

  • You should always check with your health care provider prior to starting an exercise program.
  • Please wear clothes that are comfortable and will work for dancing
and stretching, such as yoga pants and tank tops. You are not required to wear anything that shows your midriff, but it does make it easier for me to adjust your alignment and posture if I can see your torso. A hip scarf or coin belt can accentuate movements, which may help you to learn them.

  • Please do not bring significant others or friends to watch the class. Having an audience may be intimidating to your fellow students.

  • Classes will start on time, so please arrive early if you need to get changed, use the restroom, etc.
